It's logical that 9 of the 10 states with the most obese people are in the South. Southern cooking is delicious... but even the simplest recipe is loaded with calories. Serving portions are huge... often seasoned with bacon drippings... we've become a fast food nation, starting our kids on Happy Meals...Then we exacerbate the problem by making sure our kids are indoors playing video games... Kids will follow the examples set by their parents. Whenever you see an obese child, inevitably it's with an obese parent.
